Top 3 Inspirations in my life
I truly believe that inspiration is the essential to not only a great relationship but also to fulfilment in overall. We feel more alive when we are motivated. We experience a high and excitement. We have feelings, which occasionally can be an invigorating diversion from the continuous nature of everyday life.
1. My Boyfriend
My first inspiration is my boyfriend, Evan. Getting to be a part of his life is amazing, he inspires me to be the best me I can be. My boyfriend is so hard working and dedicated, he writes his own books which he spends up to a year on writing and editing. I could not imagine being that creative and ambitious at such a young age. He is one of the reasons I started this blog because I knew I couldn't write creative books/stories, but I enjoyed writing. He also runs a successful website where he writes music reviews, recommendations, and interviews with upcoming artists which I am so proud of him for.
His passion for music and doing what he loves is amazing because I can see how much joy it brings him. It also makes him more open minded to try more
music and many other things which is one of the things I have learned how to be since I was quite closed minded about different genres of music and films however since meeting him, I’ve listened to so many genres which I loved and watched hundreds of films. Seeing him follow his dream makes me want to live my best life like writing the blog and talking about my life experiences, hopefully giving advice while doing so.
He inspired me to make something of everyday like he does. He is going hiking and goes to see castles around Scotland because it’s interesting and it also would widen your knowledge about all certain events that took place. I love travelling with him and enjoying the nature and history all around us.
Since meeting Evan, he has always pushed me to explore more things like career opportunities, clubs, travelling and being happy in my own skin. I have grown so much over the past 4 years than I have ever before, and I can say he has been my biggest inspiration through it all. I learned to enjoy the little things in life like baking cakes together, watching TV together or waking up early and seeing the sunrise. Every time he has pushed me out my comfort zone nothing bad has ever happened, I trust him fully.
2. My Parents
Another inspirations are my parents people may say is cheesy and but I can't deny that they are. They work so hard to make sure me and my brother get a childhood, the life they didn't have and making us feel loved.
That's why I have the motivation to work hard and overcome any obstacles in my way and I know they have my back every step of the way. One thing I'm grateful for is their selflessness and caring they are. Sometimes when they come home after a hard day and after I'm not feeling great, and I want to watch a film or go for a walk they are always more than happy to do so.
Another is during lockdown, They always made sure me, and my brother were okay since we couldn't see her friends or boyfriend/girlfriend. We had film and game nights, which really helped us through it. The worst part through all was when I had insomnia. I couldn't sleep properly for weeks I would lie awake for hours until eventually I would cry out of frustration as soon as I told them they said they would stay awake until I got to sleep so I felt comfortable, and not frustrated. Actually, the nights when it took longer sleep, I remember joking around through the night.
One of the many reasons I’m grateful is when I was diagnosed with anxiety when I was 14, I'm now 18 and through the four years they have been so supportive in getting me through difficult situations and calm me down when I get overwhelmed. They are part of the reason I have improved and doing little things like calling the doctor, ordering food I'm talking to new people which I used to find really difficult but with my parent’s support it was much easier. They also hadn’t had much experience with mental health before, but they spent time researching and asking me questions to be in the best position to help me. I think it's inspirational to have parents like this and I hope I will just be as good.
3. Robert Downey Jr.
People who turn their life around really inspire me. Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ) is one of those people. He inspires me because in 1996 he was arrested on multiple occasions and went to rehabilitation centres. After a year in prison, he was released and got a TV role to be yet again arrested for failing undergo a drug test, his career looked like it was over.
Until actor, Mel Gibson give me a chance by casting him in a small film since no one else would. From then he continued to get some roles in films and TV shows. Not too soon after he got married to Susan Levin who is known as the ‘miracle’ that saved his life.
Susan threatened to leave him if he turns back to his old habits. Since meeting Susan in
2003 he has been sober as the thought
of losing her was much worse than being sober.
In 2007 when he got cast as Iron Man is when his career took off and got back to what he loves doing. Since then, he is known as the leader of the MCU staring in numerous marvel films. He also got the famous role of Sherlock Holmes but also brought him much success.
Other achievements he has had throughout his life are:
· Starting his own production company with his wife
· He launched an organisation called Footprint Coalition with the goal of cleaning the world using robotics and nanotechnology
He found the right people who were willing to help him and most times you just need the right people surrounding you to meet you want to change for the better. In my opinion he did, he got his personal life back coming up to 20 years sober with a wife and three kids, he got his career back with around 23 acting awards under his belt. This is so inspirational to me because no matter how many problems and setbacks he faced he never gave in.
